Booking and Reservations

First, fill out the e-mail form to inquire about availability. Please include information on all the tours and dates you wish to book. Also, please list any special requests, such as domestic flights, lodging, transfers, etc.
You can also call our office directly at (001) (506) 735-5260 or fax us at (001) (506) 735-5160.

After we have checked availability we will email your confirmation # and a request for a deposit or payment. Once your deposit is received, your reservation is confirmed. If payments are not received within 48 hours (with the exception of checks), we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. Please fax us the wire transfer information or a copy of your check so we can keep track of your payment. (Please note, payments made by check, other than travelers checks, can take a long time to arrive by mail and take up to two weeks or more to clear our bank account before the funds can be confirmed.)
- 100% payment must be made at time of booking for any outside services you request, such as domestic air and lodging.

Cancellation Policies and Fees:
- If you have to cancel a tour for any reason, at least 30 days prior, Osa Discoveries reserves the right to retain a 20% non refundable fee for administrative costs. For avoidance of all doubt, under no circumstances will refunds be made of this fee.
- If cancellation occurs within 7 days of a scheduled tour we reserve the right to retain 50% of the tour price.
- If cancellation notice is not received within 48 hours or you fail to show up for your tour, Osa Discoveries shall retain 100% of all payments.
- All cancellations must be made in writing to qualify for a refund. Email, fax or snail mail cancellations are all accepted.

Exceptions:
- We are often able to reschedule tours without any additional costs or penalties. The more advance notice we get the more flexible we can be.
- Individual boat captains may have their own cancellation policies. Any cancellation policies different from those described above shall be fully disclosed before any payments are accepted.
- Any money paid on your behalf to third party sources are non refundable and will be deducted in addition to the 20% administrative costs for any tour canceled prior to 30 days. (These costs include but are not limited to, Corcovado National Park reservations, non refundable domestic air travel, private air charters, etc.)

Payment Options
Payment by wire transfer: This is the preferred and most cost efficient method of payment and does not require converting US Dollars into Costa Rican Colones.

Payment by Credit Card: We accept Visa and Mastercard however due to the hefty credit card processing fees in Costa Rica we must add a 6% additional charge to credit card purchases for:
